Jackson New Hampshire Fishing
Whether you’re serious about screaming reels or just looking for fun, there are plenty of lakes, babbling brooks, rivers and pools for you to pick from. The Ellis and Wildcat rivers that meet at the back of the Village House are stocked with brook and rainbow trout, both have beautiful surrounding scenery and generally enjoy good water flow.
The area from the Jackson covered bridge to the iron bridge on Route 302 in Glen is retained as a fly fishing venue only. Conway lake is famous for its land locked Salmon, Smallmouth Bass and Perch, whilst Silver Lake also boasts Pickerel and Bullheads. Further fishing can be found on the Saco and Swift rivers, and Big and Little Sawyer Pond near Bartlett.
For youngsters, the pond in Jackson village park is for the use of children aged 10 and under.
N.B. A New Hampshire fishing license is required for visitors aged 12 and over. These are available from sports shops and other local stores for various durations from 1-7 days. |
