
Jackson New Hampshire Art Galleries and Museums
Art remains a very important feature of the Jackson area. Stop and visit the State of the Art Gallery and The Gallery for All Seasons in the village while walking the village loop. You may even see local artists and their students working at their easels.
During August visit the annual White Mountain Arts Festival in Jackson. This two-day event is a great opportunity to view work for sale by artists and craftspeople. In Winter Jackson is home to the New Hampshire Snow Sculpting Competition. Thousands of visitors walk through the village park during this event to view Snow Sculptors at work night and day to complete their work in time for judging.
The Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm 58 Cleveland Hill Road, Tamworth
This working farm and museum explores the richness and diversity of New England country life as experienced by the Remick family’s 200 year history in Tamworth. Chores and traditions of agricultural and domestic life are presented in self guided exhibits in the museum’s visitor center as well as through interactive education programmes and workshops.
