Mt Washington Rte 16.
Drive to the top of New England on the famous Mount Washington Auto Road, and take in the audio tour as you travel along, or climb the 6,288 feet to the summit by mountain mini bus. Be sure to take your camera and a set of binoculars to make the most of the spectacular views. At the top, learn about our weather patterns by touring the Observatory and museum. In North Conway there is also an educational weather center maintained by the Observatory which is ideal to visit on a rainy day!

Cathedral Ledge West Side Road, North Conway.
A granite outcrop famous among rock climbers for its technical climbing. To get there by car from North Conway village, turn left onto River Road, and Cathedral Ledge Road can be found 1.4 miles along on the left. The 1.7 mile long road ends in a circular turn, so you can park up and take the path through the trees to the viewing area. Here great views are found of North Conway and the lower valley. |
