As another leaf peeping season gets under way, we were busy preparing ready for Laura and Bradley’s wedding day here at the Village House last weekend.  The couple were joined by a handful of special guests for one of our elopement packages and a great time was had by all, including the dog!

Thanks go to all those who worked with us in order to make the occasion go with a swing, from catering to flowers, decorations, conducting the ceremony, dining arrangements and the cake, of course.

Despite the weather being a little unco-operative, the bride and groom enjoyed their day, being married in the gazebo on the lawn, followed by a champagne toast and then whisked away for private dining at one of our favourite local eateries, just a few yards from the Village House itself.

Best wishes for the future go to Bradley and Laura from us all here at the Village House, we enjoyed being part of your special day!

The boys have been busy this summer re-forming and renovating the fabulous Rockport Studio, giving it a new look for visitors.  Blue and cream is the new colour scheme, selected by Sally (currently in the UK), and the finished project looks awesome!

Rockport is a studio apartment, with kitchenette, dining area and adjacent balcony.  It benefits from having a king bed, sofabed and can easily fit a rollaway cot, making it the ideal choice for families or those seeking larger accommodations.  Look forward to welcoming visitors for the remainder of summer and for forthcoming fall foliage!

Adam is here again for the summer and enjoying some time out and about in the beautiful White Mountains.  There is plenty to see and do, hiking, fishing, swimming, or spotting wildlife, and, this year much of it has been seen right here on the property.  Check out some of our great photos.

'Jack makes the most of summer'

That’s right, summer is here, the weather is fine, the pool is open and if you fancy getting away from it all with your favorite 4 legged friend, pets stay free during the month of August.  We’ll see you on the deck for a margarita, or by the fire-pit for toasted marshmallows!

Mama Fluffy and 3 little cubs call at the Village House!

Wow what a fantastic weekend we have had wildlife watching this past July 4th weekend.

Guests staying with us were amazed to wake up in the morning to spot Mama Fluffy tucking into a takeaway from the trash shed and then her 3 cubs came and joined her for some fun by the giant rock in the middle of the driveway, before making their way across the gardens and down towards the river at the back of the Village House Inn property.

Mt. Washington Auto Road Old Home Day Celebrations, July 2 2011

Visit the Village House this coming weekend and enjoy Mount Washington’s celebration of Americana at the Mt. Washington Auto Road on Saturday July 2.

Enjoy some old time games including, Hopscotch, Jump Rope, Badminton, Croquet and more! Old-fashioned races and contests: Stick & Hoop, Sack, Three-Legged and Wheelbarrow Races. Pie eating race, too!

The Village House hosted many keen sporting enthusiasts last weekend and among them where returning guests, Lori and Kate, who sent us this fabulous drawing and photo below of our inn dog ‘Jack’.

A big thank you goes to all our visitors who have taken the time to review the Village House, and for the uplifting compliments we have received from postings during the last couple of years. Many of our guests make return visits and we always look forward to welcoming and being re-connected with some great friends!

Looking ahead, it will be important to keep the momentum going as we continue making improvements and delivering increased service offerings in partnership with local organizations.
